Jean Cook, 71, of Friendship, died Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis.
She was director of the Northwest Tennessee Economic Development Council and secretary of the Dyersburg Salvation Army.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Dyersburg Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Wilson and the Rev. Calvin Smith officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include two daughters, Wanda Reed and husband, Sammy, of Finley and Janalyn Cook of Friendship; a son, James Alan Cook and wife, Irma, of Oilton, Texas; her mother, Katherleen Smith of Richwoods; a sister, Janie Smith of Dyersburg; two brothers, James Albert Smith of Richwoods and Don Smith of Finley; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Albert Smith.
Pallbearers will be Josh Reed, Justin Reed, Charlie Cook, Mark Smith, Don Smith and Ray Hashempour.
