Jason Allen Whitt, 33, of Dyersburg, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Douglas Heath & Rehab in Milan, TN.

He was born on February 13, 1984 in Dyer County, TN, to the late David Allen Whitt and Barbara Brown Whitt Apple. Jason was a fast food employee and liked to fix up old Chevy trucks. He was a member of Fowlkes Baptist Church and attended New Hope Independent Baptist Church in Milan. Jason was a Boy Scout, member of Dyersburg High School FFA and attended the Nashville Auto Diesel College.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Danny O'Guin and Bro. Larry Koonce officiating. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Saturday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his mother and step-father, Barbara and Howard Apple of Dyersburg; two sisters, Amber Whitt of Munford and Mary Apple of Dyersburg; his grandmother, Lou Etta Brown of Dyersburg; and his aunts and uncles, Lyn and Kathy McLean of Newbern, Jason and Stacie Tipps of Humboldt, Terry and Joann Clark of Yorkville, Marca Whitt Pennington of Dyersburg, Joey and Rhonda Whitt of East TN, Al Brown of Paris and Jimmy Whitt of Dyersburg.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his grandfather, Alfred Leon Brown.

Pallbearers will be Lyn McLean, Jimmy Lynn Whitt, R.J. McCutcheon, Brad Clark, Jason Tipps, Rusty Richardson and Heath McLean.
