Jason Todd McGuire, 46, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2019 at his residence.

He was born June 27, 1972 in Dyersburg Tennessee but would have been well suited to be born in 1872.  He was a carpenter by trade but a woodsman at heart.  He studied and lived for hunting, trapping, fishing and exploring the woods.  He also enjoyed raising a garden and cooking what he caught, collected or grew for friends and family.  He loved telling dramatic tales of his adventures.

He is survived by his mother, Paulette Slaughter McGuire as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.  He is preceded in death by his father, Glen Ray McGuire, his brother, Ryan Lee McGuire and his grandparents, Jim & Bonnie McGuire and Pete & Lucy Slaughter.

The family will receive visitors from 5:00 until 7:00 on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.  A memorial service will celebrate Jason's life at 7:00 p.m. that evening.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Terry McGuire, Jason Marbrey, Austin McGuire, Jason Myers, Butch Canada, Kenneth Jones and Keith Hawkins.
