Janie Hilliard Smith Christian, 69, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

She was born on September 4, 1949, in Dyersburg, TN to William D. Hilliard and the late Launa Luckett Hilliard. Janie was a retired correctional clerical officer for Northwest Correctional Facility and was a member of Oak Grove Church of Christ.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2019 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Rusty Hilliard, Jr. and Bro. Jacky Goad officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Christian of Dyersburg, TN; a daughter, Renae Pickard and husband, Kris, of Dyersburg, TN; her father, William D. Hilliard of Dyersburg, TN; a brother, Rusty Hilliard, Sr. and wife, Cindy, of Dyersburg, TN; two nephews, Rusty Hilliard, Jr. and wife, Laney, of Haines City, FL and David Hilliard and wife, Abby, of Finley, TN; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Rusty Hilliard, Sr., David Hilliard, Tommy Reed, Justin Henson, Jeff Hudson and Tom Butler.
