Mrs Janice White Taylor, of Dyersburg, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Dyersburg Health & Rehabilitation.  She was born May 23, 1945 to the late Jessie and Addie White.  Janice was a devoted wife and mother, who enjoyed all aspects of work around her home.  She was an accomplished cook, seamstress, upholsterer and did many of her own home repairs including electrical and plumbing work.  Outside of her home, she worked for many years in production with Thomas Lighting Company in Dyersburg.  She and her husband, Billy J. Taylor were charter members of Three Oaks Chapel Baptist Church.   In her later years, she loved time spent caring for her grandchildren in the years before they started school.

Janice is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Mathis and husband, Tom and Janene Burkhead and husband, Joel, all of Dyersburg, a brother, Ronnie White and sisters Libby Davis, Mary Blalock, Brenda Spangler and Lynn Batey and was loved as "Grandmaw" by her grandchildren, Mallory Jackson, Cara Hassell, Kristen Lanier, Ally Burkhead and Zane, Jack & John Mathis.  She was proud to be "MawMaw" to her great-grandchildren, Landon Burnette, Wyatt & Will Jackson, Tucker & Adelyn Hassell and Avy Mathis.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, of 55 years, Billy J. Taylor and a brother, James White.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 21,2025 at 4:00p.m. in Fairview Cemetery, conducted by Bro. Bill Phipps.  Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. at Dyersburg Funeral Home.  Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Jackson, Landon Burnette, Zane & John Mathis, Eric Lanier and Patrick Hassell, with Tom Mathis and Joel Burkhead as honorary bearers.
