Janice Lee Gregson Gean Moody, age 74, of Newbern, TN passed away Saturday, September 17, 2022 at her residence.

She was born on February 25, 1948 in Dyersburg, Tn to the late Sherman and Minnie Smith Gregson. Janice enjoyed arts & crafts, sewing, and teaching others about the bible in  nursing homes. She attended and was a member at Love & Truth Church in Dyersburg.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 5-8 p.m. at Dyersburg Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday, September 23, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home conducted by Pastor Helson Martinez Jr. and Bro. Kelvin Mercer. Burial will follow in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include her husband, Billy Moody of Newbern, TN; two sons, Ryan Gean (Pennie) of Newbern, TN and Cory Moody (Holly) of Dyersburg, TN; two daughters, Christie Gean Johnson (Randy) of Dyersburg, TN and Stephanie Poindexter (Joey) of Clarksville, TN; one sister, Brenda Faye Gregson Johns (Kenny) of Jackson, TN; one sister-in-law, Sandra Kay Gregson of Dyersburg, TN; seven grandchildren, Jada Gean, Theron Gean, Macey Gean, Dawson Moody, Landon Moody, Angel Etheridge, and Caley Nichols and one great grandchild, Jackson Brooks Moody.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Billy William Gean; her brother, Paul Sherman Gregson; her sister, Gloria Ann Gregson Richardson and her brother-in-law, Charles Richardson.

Honoring Janice as pallbearers will be Cory Moody, Theron Gean, Gerald Evans, Anthony Evans, Mark Evans and Buddy Grimes.
