Janette Patricia Smith, 56, of Dyersburg, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at her residence.

She was the office administrator for ECSIS and a homemaker. She was a member of Fowlkes United Methodist Church and a U.S. Air Force Veteran. She graduated from Samuel Whitbread College of Culinary Arts in London, England. She was a devoted Christian wife and mother who opened her heart and home to everyone.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. John Lowrance officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Smith of Dyersburg; a daughter, Tracy Smith Duraso of Dyersburg; two sons, Larry "Skip" Smith of Dyersburg and Michael Lee Smith of Schweinfurt, Germany; two brothers, John McDonald of St. Clara, CA and Richard McDonald of Valrico, FL; eight grandchildren, Meagan Gable, Joshua Gable, Matthew Smith, Brandon Smith, Brian Brimm, Jr., Matthew Brimm, Kaitlynn Brimm and Carson Brimm; and one great-grandchild, Colsen Gable.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Natalie Smith Brimm; her parents, John and Beatrice McCarthy McDonald; and a sister, Christine Tackett.

Pallbearers will be Larry "Skip" Smith, Michael Smith, Matthew Smith, Brandon Smith, Brian Brimm, Jonathan Lewis, Nathan Kalmes, James Lumpkins and Doug Crews.

The family requests that memorials be directed to Fowlkes United Methodist Church.
