James Terry Wright, 69, of Laconia, formerly of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at Methodist Hospital in Somerville.
He was a retired mechanic and welder for Proctor and Gamble, a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church in Memphis, a Navy veteran and a member of National Rifle Association.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronnie Turner officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors at 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Reba Moseley Wright of Laconia; two daughters, Laurie Ann Wright of Pasadena, Calif. and Penny Renee Salyers of Chicago, Ill; two sons, James Gregory Wright and wife, Erma, and Jeffrey Lynn Wright, all of Chicago, Ill.; a sister, Linda Sue Forrester and husband, Harold, of Ellendale; and two grandchildren, T.J. Salyers and Cody Salyers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J.B. and Barbara Little Wright.
Pallbearers will be nephews. Honorary pallbearer will be Jerry Henson.
