James Earl Williams, 76, of Tiptonville, TN, passed away on June 14, 2020 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.

James was born on December 28, 1943, in Memphis, TN, to the late Earl John Williams and Cora D. Crouson Williams. He was a retired Riverboat Captain for Ingram Barge Company. James proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2020 in the Tiptonville Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Chuck Graham officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery.

The Williams Family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at Dyersburg Funeral Home Tiptonville Chapel.

Survivors include his son, James Jordan Williams of Tiptonville, TN; a brother, Johnny Lynn Williams and wife, Cathy, of Tiptonville, TN; a sister, Carolyn Williams Green of Tiptonville, TN; and his special friend, Cindy Birmingham.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Joan Parker Williams; and a son, Bruce Evan Williams.

Pallbearers will be Mark Caleb Hayes, Travis Williams, Jordan Williams, Johnny Williams and Jerome Green.
