James Thedford Brown's Obituary
James Thedford Brown, 78, of Fountain Valley, CA, formerly of Dyersburg, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Orange Coast Memorial Hospital in Fountain Valley, CA.
He was a retired truck driver and a member of Fowlkes Baptist Church.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Danny O'Guin officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his daughter, Megan Dean and husband, Matthew, of Fountain Valley, CA; two sons, Mark Brown and Mike Brown, both of California; a sister, Betty Lowery of Munford; two brothers, Herbert Brown of Halls and Talmadge Brown of Hornbeak; and a grandson, Steven Brown.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta McKenzie Brown; his parents, Hubbard and Cleavie Gurley Brown; a daughter, Marilyn Brown; and a brother, Clarence Brown.
Pallbearers will be Talmadge Brown, Bracken Brown, Brik Brown and Matthew Dean.
The family requests that memorials be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
