James Hall Shaw, 72, of Ridgely, died Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired branch manager for Helena Chemicals, where he worked for 18 years, member of First Baptist Church in Ridgely, member of Tennessee Air National Guard, lifetime resident of Ridgely, member of Lake County School Board, where he had been chairman and was a farmer.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Ridgely with Bro. Richard Bragg and Bro. John Coleman officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Laird Shaw of Ridgely; two daughters, Tracey Shaw Lahman and husband, Rick, of Nashville and Leslie Shaw Hastings and husband, Richard, of Tupelo, MS.; and five grandchildren, Patrick Hastings, Abbey Hastings, Olivia Hastings, Alex Lahman and Campbell Lahman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Jemima Willingham Shaw; a sister, Peggy Taylor; and a brother, Billy Shaw.
Pallbearers will be Tim Taylor, Rob Shaw, Kent Patterson, Trent Patterson, Rick Bingham and Peter Richards.
The family requests that memorials may be directed to First Baptist Church in Ridgely.
