James "Hut" Rushing, 79, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010 at the V.A. Hospital in Memphis.

He was a retired Farmer, a member of First United Methodist Church, a Mason, and a veteran of the Army-Korean War.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Benton County Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Camden with Dr. Phillip Cook officiating.

The family will receive visitors at 5:30-8 p.m. Thursday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Naomi Lowry Rushing, of Dyersburg; two daughters, Winona Brewer and husband, Ronnie, and Leeta Himes and husband, Keith, all of Dyersburg; four grandchildren, Jedidiah Rushing Brewer, Jared Russell Brewer, Landon Keith Himes and Neil Himes; and a great-grandchild, Tucker Lee Chitwood-Himes.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Crawford and Ruth Hudson Rushing.
