Obituary

James Edward "Pete" Bizzle, 82, of Ripley, died Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at his residence.

He was a retired boiler plant supervisor at West Tennessee High Security, where he worked for 33 years, member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Ripley and played in the Milwaukee Braves Farm System.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Crandall officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Anna Bizzle of Ripley; a daughter, Vicki Bizzle Coats and husband, Joe, of Newbern; a step-daughter, Paula Antisdel and husband, Mac, of Ripley; a step-son, Gerald Wayne Miller of Union City; a sister, Helen Jones of Dyersburg; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Edward "Ronnie" Bizzle; a grandson, Spec. Justin Antisdel; and his parents, James and Lucille (White) Bizzle.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Coats, Joe Coats, Mac Antisdel, Josh Bizzle, Ben Bizzle, Jerry Pride and Jerry Miller.
