James Roby Martin's Obituary
James Roby Martin, 71, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, May 8, 2011 at his residence.
He was a retired surveyor for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and an U.S. Army veteran.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Brent Rashall officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Shirley Glisson Martin of Dyersburg; a daughter, Michelle Martin of Dyersburg; two sons, Chuck Martin and wife, Judy, and Kevin Martin, all of Dyersburg; his mother, Martha L. Martin of Covington; a sister, Barbara Shields and husband, Aaron, of Beverly Hills, FL; a brother, Bill Martin and wife, Judy, of Covington; and a grandson, Staff Sergeant Keith Martin of Miramar, CA.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leland Martin.
Pallbearers will be Troy McCallum, Brian Sawyers, Anthony Inman, Larry Christian, Wade Martin and James Sansom.
