July 30, 1930 – August 5, 2015
James Giley Lutrell, 85, of Dyersburg, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was the retired owner of Small Engine Supply and was a member of Second Baptist Church. He served 10 years with the TN Army National Guard.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Koonce officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Merle Lutrell of Dyersburg; two sons, Mike Lutrell and wife, Debbie, of Knoxville and Mark Lutrell and wife, Trudy, of Dyersburg; and three grandchildren, Eric Lutrell, Logan Lutrell and Lauren Lutrell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Etta McAbee Lutrell; two sisters, Evie Carter and Edna Bailey; and a brother, Clarence Lutrell.
Pallbearers will be Logan Lutrell, Eric Lutrell, Bill Pike, Will Pike, Tommy Campbell and Fentress Joslin.
The family requests that memorials be directed to Dyersburg/Dyer County Community Cancer Fund, P.O. Box 1055, Dyersburg, TN 38025.
