James A. "Jim" Berry, 78, of Newbern, TN, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.

Jim was born on October 9, 1941, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late Albert Eugene and Odem Marie Caldwell Berry. He was an insurance agent with Tigrett & Pennington. Jim proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1960-1964.

A private celebration of life funeral mass will be held at a later date. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Pauline Berry of Newbern, TN; four daughters, Theresa Durbin (Neel) of Newbern, TN, Tracey Berry Metz of Dyersburg, TN, Jane Berry Capps (Tim) of Newbern, TN and Jean Berry of Dyersburg, TN; three sisters, Janis Stiles of Newbern, TN, Joan Hadden (Bill) of Dyersburg, TN and Joy O'Neal (Ernie) of Alamo, TN' two brothers, John B. Berry (Luanne) of Newbern, TN and Joe Berry of Tatumville, TN; five grandchildren, Beth Crump, Ashley Bonville, Joseph Durbin, Clint Capps and Zac Capps; and nine great-grandchildren, Tripp Lowery, Colin Lowery, Finn Bonville, Logan Crump, Peter Crump, Zeek Capps, Serenity Capps, Marabelle Capps and Delilah Capps.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill Berry, Bobby Berry and Jerry Clyde Berry.
