James Marvin Jackson, Sr., 82, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Signature Healthcare in Ridgely.

James was born on November 9, 1939, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late, Marvin and Cellie Mae Turner Jackson. He was the owner/operator of Jackson Trucking Company and was a member of the Church of God. James was a mechanic, carpenter and a licensed electrician. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Cremation services are under the direction of Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his son, Eric Jackson of Finley, TN; a brother, Tommy Jackson of Newbern, TN; and several grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by a son, James Marvin "Marty" Jackson; a brother, William Jackson; and three sisters, Elizabeth Jackson Owsley, Mary Edith Jackson Epperson and Frances Jackson Perry.
