James A. Hollis, 64, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was a retired Employee with the maintenance department for Dyersburg City School System and a member of First Assembly of God.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Stephen Stoner officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his mother, Lillie Hollis of Dyersburg; two sisters, Teresa Pease Hollis of Dyersburg and Doris Marie Hollis Essary of Lubbock, TX.; a brother, Larry Joe Hollis of Lenox; three nieces, Tina Valois of Randleman, NC., Tess Essary Holley and Edie Essary Goodnight, both of Lubbock, TX.; two nephews, Michael Rhodes of Asheboro, NC. and John Thomas Hollis of Lenox; and a special friend, Linda McCormick of Dyersburg.
He was preceded in death by his father, J.T. Hollis.
Pallbearers will be John Thomas Hollis, Kenny Monteith, William Monteith, Lynn Parker, Eddie Vernon and Pastor Dwayne Dewitt.
