Obituary

James Michael Hendrix Jr., 40, of Dyersburg, died Monday, Feb. 2, 2009 at his residence.

He was a stud welder for ERMCO and an avid hunter.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Ellingsworth officiating. Burial will be in Greenhill Memorial Gardens near Halls.

The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Hendrix; a son, Michael Brandon Hendrix and wife, Amber, of Dyersburg; two stepsons, Brandon Hendrix and wife, Jessica, and Frankie Webb, all of Dyersburg; his mother, Elizabeth Stephens Hendrix of Trenton; his father and stepmother, James Michael Hendrix Sr. and Mary Lou Hendrix of Dyersburg; two sisters, Kim Pollard and husband, Robert, and Tina Hendrix Welch and husband, Brent, all of Dyersburg; a stepsister, Jessica Lynn Tull and husband, Clint, of Dyersburg; two stepbrothers, Steven Lynn Crumley and wife, Lory, of Peoria, Ill., and Ricky Gene Collins II and wife, Joanna, of Honolulu, Hawaii; grandparents Monnell Hendrix of Dyersburg and Frances Stephens of Trenton; four grandchildren, Hannah Hendrix, Payton Webb, Christa Hendrix and Ashlyn Hendrix; an aunt, Pam Haynes and husband, Ernest, of Trenton; and an uncle, Jerry Hendrix and wife, Vickie, of Dyersburg.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, N.C. Hendrix and Malcolm Stephens.

Pallbearers will be Chris Simpson, Zac Haynes, Todd Haynes, Gerald Canada, Jimmy Flatt, Keith Riggs and Richard Smith. Honorary pallbearer will be Edward Hansford.
