James Alfred Hearn, Jr., age 77, of Tiptonville, TN, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024, at his residence.
James was born on December 28, 1947, in Tiptonville, TN, to the late James Alfred Hearn, Sr. and Mary Maude Algee Hearn. He was a retired car salesman for Lake County Motors. He served in the Tennessee National Guard and was a dedicated member of the Tiptonville First United Methodist Church. James was also a Mason and an Al Chymia Shriner.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, November 25, 2024 at the First United Methodist Church in Tiptonville with Bro. Chuck Graham officiating. Burial will be in Lake Memorial Gardens. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will be receiving friends prior to the service beginning at 11:00 a.m. and continuing until the service time.
He is survived by his loving wife, Fran Richardson Hearn of Tiptonville, TN; his two sons, Chad Richardson Hearn (Ginger) and Jeremy Hearn (Amanda), all of Tiptonville, TN; his brother, Paul Jackson Hearn of Memphis, TN; and his cherished grandchildren, Jack Richardson Hearn, Mary Ava Hearn, and Mia Claire Hearn.
Serving as pallbearers will be George Robert Vaughn, Cliff Berry, Jr., Corey Glidewell, Hunter Short, Paul Hearn and Macky Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will Marty Vaughn, Bubba Davis, Roland Pope, Freddie Wortman, Bobby Boyd, Skipper Homra, Norman Rhodes, Wicky Hearn, Donnie Owens, Terry Petty and Wayne Hatley.
Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
