James McDonald Edwards, 80, of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, August 30, 2011.
He was the former co-owner and pharmacist of City Drug Company, a member of First United Methodist Church, and an avid golfer.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Sheila H. Edwards of Dyersburg; a daughter, Carol Edwards of Jackson; a son, Joseph M. Edwards of Boston, MA; a sister, Mary Jo Meyer and husband, Larry, of Monterey; and two grandchildren, Alex Jones of Jackson and Emily Bobbitt and husband, Drew, of Knoxville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Mary Belle Edwards; and two brothers, Rev. Thomas L. Edwards and Rev. William A. Edwards.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the Pastor's Discretionary Fund, First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 452, Dyersburg, TN 38025.
