James Boyd Eddlemon, 82, of Tiptonville, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis.
He was a retired farmer and was a member of Ridgely Church of Christ. Mr. James served on the Board of Directors for Lake County Farm Bureau and was an elected officer of the Lake County Farm Services for over 30 years. HE was also a member of the National Rifle Association.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Ridgely Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Mr. Jeremy Pierce and Mr. Carl Mills officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery.
The Eddlemon Family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Rosemary Eddlemon of Tiptonville; a son, James Knox "Jimmy" Eddlemon and wife, Vickie, of Tunica, MS; a sister, Mildred Armstrong of Ridgely; four grandchildren, James Nicholas Eddlemon, Katherine Elizabeth Eddlemon Pierce, Benjamin Knox Eddlemon, and David Boyd Eddlemon II; and nine great-grandchildren, Azlyn Pierce, Jaci Eddlemon, Jadyn Eddlemon, Aymish Pierce, James Brody Eddlemon, Brylee Eddlemon, Presley Eddlemon, Hartlee Eddlemon, and Knox Eddlemon.
He was preceded in death by a son, David Eddlemon; his parents, Herbert and Inez Flowers Eddlemon; a brother, Tommy Gene Eddlemon; a sister, Ailene Baker; and a great-grandchild, Caidyn Pierce.
Pallbearers will be Kent Patterson, Trent Patterson, Jackie Flowers, Brad Eddlemon, Tony Bargery, and Johnny Cole. Honorary pallbearers will be Skipper Homra, Paul Algee, Jr., Sammy Price, Macie Roberson, Roger Dudley, Scotty Johnson, Joe Marvin, and Austin Baker III.
