James "Jamie" Dwight Hicks, 50, of Tiptonville, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at his residence.
He was a retired forklift operator for Kerr Plastics in Jackson, TN. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Ridgely.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Ridgely Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Sonny Johnson, Rev. Jack Henry, and Mr. Terry Johnson officiating.
The Hicks Family will receive visitors from 12-1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his mother, Peggy Laverne Johnson Hicks of Tiptonville; a brother, Jonathan "Johnny" Wayne Hicks and wife, Amber, of Bells; two aunts, Mamie L. Tubbs of Dyersburg and Patty Staggs of Ridgely; and five uncles, Fred Johnson, Jeffrey Carlton Johnson, Oscar Sonny Johnson and wife, Linda, and Donnie Johnson and wife, Faye, all of Ridgely and James Billy Johnson and wife, Teena, of Clifton.
Jamie was preceded in death by his father, Dwight Odell Hicks; his grandparents, Walker and Madie Johnson and Odell and Jewel Hicks; an aunt, Maybell Simmons; and an uncle, Robert "Bobby" Wayne Hicks.
