Obituary

James Ray Davis, 72, of Dyersburg, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2016 at his residence.

He was a retired electrician and was a member of Oak Grove Church of Christ. Mr. Davis was an avid gardener, hunter, and fisherman. He raised chickens and loved to work on his truck.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Eric Davis and Br. John Stacy officiating. Burial will be in Hurricane Hill Cemetery.

The Davis Family will receive visitors from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Barbara Gail Davis of Dyersburg; a daughter, Tammy Renee Davis of Racine, WI; a son, Jimmy Davis and wife, Paige, of Dyersburg; a sister, Brenda Aker of Obion; three brothers, Donnie Davis, Billy Davis, and J.B. Davis, all of Dyersburg; nine grandchildren, Dustin Davis, Candice Davis, Adam Ray Davis, Caycee Davis, Amanda Kiffel, Nathan De La Garza, Nicholas De La Garza, Saraya De La Garza, and Tammy De La Garza; and eight great-grandchildren, Tanner Davis, Brooklyn Davis, Easton Davis, Emilee Davis, A.K. Sheard, Kamren Sheard, Ryleigh Sheared, and Lennon Loretta Kiffel.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Amanda Gail Davis; a son, Marty Davis; his parents, Byars and Gladys Harris Davis; two sisters, Bonnie Demo and Geraldine Pinkston; and three brothers, Joe Davis, Roger Dale Davis, and Tony Davis.

Pallbearers will be Chris Beyerbach, Tyler Beyerbach, Adam Davis, Dustin Davis, Larry Owens, and Logan Davis.
