James Cortner Boyd, 77, of Dyersburg, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at his residence.

James was born on August 7, 1943, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late, James and Edna Sharpe Boyd. He was a machine operator with Dyersburg Fabrics and was a member of Southside Baptist Church. James was a lifetime member of the Jaycees, serving as secretary and vice president and was a 3rd Degree Mason. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and riding his side by side with his wife and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Leila Bryant Boyd of Dyersburg, TN; a son, Jim Junior "Jimbo" Boyd and wife, Rachel, of Butte, MT; two daughters, Lisa Bryant and husband, Tim, and Stephanie Davis and husband, Jason, all of Dyersburg, TN; six grandchildren, Madison Davis, Maddox Davis, Molly Davis, Justin Bryant, Timothy Bryant and wife, Morgan, and Amber Phillips and husband, Jon; and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his brother, Charles "Chuck" Unsworth.
