James Joseph Bock, 64, of Ridgely, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008 at his residence.
He was a retired machinist for Amtrak, a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Chicago and attended Cottonwood Baptist Church in Ridgely.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Cottonwood Baptist Church with the Rev. Rob Dennison officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Vickie Bock of Ridgely; two daughters, Donna McGinn and husband, Patrick, of Arlington Heights, Ill. and Christine Kelly and husband, Gordon Kelly II, of Mayslick, Ky.; a son, James Bock and wife, Debbie, of Chicago, Ill.; two sisters, Dorothy Torchia and husband, Joseph, and Marlene Dobrovolny and husband, Fred, all of Bloomingdale, Ill.; and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Estelle Bock; and a grandson, Joseph Cardella.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any memorials be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
