Obituary

Jackie Pierce Flowers, age 77, of Ridgely, Tennessee, passed away on October 13, 2025, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Born on January 10, 1948, in Tiptonville, TN. Jackie lived a life rooted in faith, family, and farming. He graduated from Lake County High School in 1966 and went on to earn his bachelor's degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 1970.

A former part-owner of Wynnburg Tractor Company and a long-time board member of the Farm Bureau, Jackie's dedication to agriculture was evident in his passion for farming. Jackie had a deep-rooted passion for farming- a love that grew even stronger as he worked side by side with his son, Tolar. Whether planting, harvesting, or hauling grain, those days spent on the farm were among his most cherished. It was about sharing knowledge and passing down a legacy that meant everything to him.

He was a faithful member of Ridgely Church of Christ.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 16, 2025 at First Baptist Church in Ridgely with Rev. John Coleman officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at the church.

Jackie is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Sandra Flowers; his son, Tolar Flowers (Anna); his beloved grand-dogs, Hallie and Honey; and his sister, Glenda Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, HE (Red) and Hazel Flowers and Velma Gene Haynes; William Floyd Pierce; and his brothers, Johnny Carl Pierce and Floyd Flowers.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Kent Patterson, Trent Patterson, Larry Paschall, Allen Marvin Eugene Flowers and Tommy Childress.
