Jack Maxie Welch, 64, of Halls, died Monday, March 12, 2012 at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis.
He was a self-employed construction worker and mason, member of Phillips Street Church of Christ, U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam War, where he served with the 101st Airborne Division and received the Bronze Star and Army Commendation Medal and a member of Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 995.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Edgar Schults, Jr. and Bro. Andy Brewer officiating.
The family will receive visitors from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his daughter, Miranda Welch Paige and husband, Brandon, of Halls; his mother, Maxine Welch of Dyersburg; three sisters, Betty Welch Stephens, Judy Welch Sentell and Carol Welch Richards, all of Dyersburg; a brother, Lowell B. Welch of Dyersburg; and three grandchildren, Klaeton Welch, Lauren Brown and Audrina Paige.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bennie A. Welch.
