Obituary

Inez Virginia Dial, 89, of Tiptonville, TN, passed away on Monday, August 10, 2020 at Signature Healthcare in Ridgely.

Inez was born on March 31, 1931, in Samburg, TN, to the late Emmett and Beulah Brown Reed. She attended Obion County Schools. Inez was a housewife for many years until starting Dial's Upholstery Shop, where she did upholstery work for many families in Lake County and West Tennessee. She was married to Clifford Thomas Dial on October 14, 1947. They were married 43 years until his death in 1990. She was a member of Tiptonville First Baptist Church for over 50 years and was also a member of the Eastern Star.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, August 14, 2020 at the Tiptonville First Baptist Church with Bro. Jason Pate officiating. Burial will be in Tiptonville City Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, August 13, 2020 at Tiptonville First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Thomas Laird Dial and wife, Debbie, of Tiptonville, TN; one daughter, Nancy Dial Hennessy and husband, David, of Huntsville, TX; her grandchildren, Matthew T. Dial of Tiptonville, TN, Loralee Dial of Samburg, TN, Christopher Franklin of Houston, TX, Austin Hennessy of USNB Guantanamo, Cuba, Ashley Hennessy of Clearlake, TX, Jennifer Hopper of Tiptonville, TN, Jessica Chappell of Hornbeak, TN and Jamie Pounds of Camp Lejeune, NC; and her great-grandchildren, Lalee Dial and Jack Gooch, both of Samburg, TN, Nathan Scott of Ridgely, TN, Kiley Hopper and Ty Hopper, both of Tiptonville, TN, Annabella Pounds, Justin Pounds and Jaylyn Pounds.

In addition to her parents and husband, Inez was preceded in death by a son, Little Clifford T. Dial, Jr.; her brother, LeRoy Reed; and three sisters, Katherine Applewhite, Ola Baggett and Mildred Shaw.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Dial, David Hennessy, Christopher Franklin, Curtis Jones, Tommy Hopper, Jr., Jack Gooch and Austin Hennessy. Honorary pallbearer will be Landon Griffin.

The family would like to extend sincere thanks and gratitude to the staff of Signature Healthcare in Ridgely, for the care, love and attention they provided to Miss Inez during her time there.

Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Wounded Warrior Project or to the ASPCA.
