Herbert Melvin Leake, 85, of Ridgely, TN, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2020 at Signature Healthcare of Ridgely.

Herbert was born on January 31, 1935, in Ridgely, TN, to the late Arthur and Effie Turner Leake. He was a retired logger and timberman at Herbert Leake Timber Company and was a member of Ridgely First Baptist Church.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at New Haven Cemetery with Bro. Burt Burkett officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 1-2:45 p.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at Dyersburg Funeral Home Ridgely Chapel.

Survivors include his wife, Pat Leake of Ridgely, TN; a daughter, Cathy Henry and husband, Greg, of Murfreesboro, TN; a brother, George Leake of Ridgely, TN; a sister, Flora Mae Dunavant of Dyersburg, TN; two grandchildren, Brandon Henry and Jana Burks; and five great-grandchildren, Drew Henry, Keely Henry, Logan Henry, Morgan Burks and Addie Burks.

Pallbearers will be Michael Bates, Glen Scott, Ray Markham, Garrett Sawyer, Greg Henry and Kent Patterson.
