Henry Freund, 90, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022 at his residence.

Mr. Henry was born on June 29, 1931, in Nashville, TN, to the late August and Nelle Hillderbrand Freund. He was a retired Presbyterian Minister for 55 years in Texas and Louisiana and was a member of the General Grand Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. Henry was a Master Mason, was a member of the Rotary and a member of the Lions Club. He proudly served his country during the Korean War in the United States Army.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2022 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Dr. Paul Schuster officiating. Cremation services are under the direction of Dyersburg Funeral Home.

The family will receive visitors from 1-2 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2022 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife of 10 years, Peggy Pence Schuster Freund of Dyersburg, TN; two sons, John Russell Freund of Midland, TX and Timothy Carl Freund of Van Nuys, CA; a daughter, Melissa Ann Freund Wilcox (Jeff) of Narrows, VA; four grandchildren, Marissa Wilcox, Isiah Wilcox, Tiffany Freund and Miles Freund; one great-granddaughter, Delilah Aria; his three step-children and their spouses; five step-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Henry was preceded in death by three brothers, Carl Freund, August S. Freund and John A. Freund; and two sisters, Nell E. Lifsey and Thelma Freund.
