Helen Shipley, 86, of Dyersburg, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Maple Ridge Assisted Living Center.

She was a homemaker and a member of Fowlkes Baptist Church.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Danny O'Guin officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Saturday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her son, James Shipley and wife, Donna, of Dyersburg; two grandchildren, Jennifer Edgin and husband, Brian, and James Holmes Shipley and wife, Lisa; and five great-grandchildren, Jacob Edgin, Emily Edgin, Ellie Edgin, Logan Shipley and Katlyn Shipley.

She was preceded in death by her husband, V.B. Shipley; her parents, Ben Anderson and Sarah Bell Doss; four sisters, Eliza Spry, Opal Haynes, Minnie Bishop and Myrtle Leitherland; and two brothers, George Anderson and Logan Anderson.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Anderson, Jimmy Anderson, Brian Edgin, Len Holmes, Steve Crawford and Holmes Shipley.
