Helen Nell Pleasant's Obituary
Helen Vernell "Nell" Pleasant, 87, of Dyersburg, died Friday, Jan. 1, 2010 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
She was a homemaker and a member of First Christian Church at Chestnut Bluff.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bill Boyers, Bobbie Walden and the Rev. Ronnie Turner officiating. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery at Bruceville.
Survivors include three daughters, Margaret Broglin, Janet Pleasant and Joan Lents, all of Dyersburg; two sons, Rodger Pleasant and Larry Pleasant, both of Dyersburg; two sisters, Linda Allen of Dyersburg and Helen Lowery of Greenfield; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe Pleasant; her parents, George and Sarah Kent Watkins; three sisters, Lela Atchison, Aileen Davenport and Charlene Hodge; and six brothers, Charles Watkins, Dwite Watkins, Mickey Watkins, Billy Atchison, Clyde Watkins and Floyd Watkins.
Pallbearers will be Terry Lents, Jimmy Atchison, Charlie Burns, Cody Floyd, Allen Jordan, Mark Crews, Jesse Orchard, Chad Burns, Monty McWilliams, Eddie Maness and Danny Mansfield.
