Hazel Irene McCuiston, 86, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at Harborview Health Systems.

Hazel was born on November 2, 1933, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late Dee and Rosie Mae Anderson Burns. She was a homemaker and attends Three Oaks Chapel, where she worked in the nursery.

Services will be at 12 p.m. Friday, October 9, 2020 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Phipps officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Friday, October 9, 2020 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her two daughters, Charlotte Hogue (Dennis) of Dyersburg, TN and Kelly Franks (Phillip) of Dyer, TN; three sons, Vick Burns (Tammy), Jimmy McCuiston (Shellie) and David McCuiston (Gwen), all of Dyersburg, TN; ten grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, David McCuiston; four sisters, Jennie French, Lily Shipley, Flossie Riggs and Martha Viar; and two brothers, L.D. Burns and R.B. Burns.

Pallbearers will be Allen Willis, Daniel Burns, Brandon Franks, Little Dave McCuiston, David Lowery and Spence Lowery. Honorary pallbearers will be Vick Burns, Jimmy McCuiston, Dennis Hogue, David McCuiston, Phillip Crawford, Homer Moore, Burless Davis and Ronnie Burns.
