Hazel Lee Alexander, 93, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at her residence.

Hazel was born on July 18, 1928, in Ridgely, TN, to the late, Ebb and Estelle Woody Ligon. She was a homemaker and was a member of The Church of God of Prophecy, where she served as the church secretary for many years.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2021 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeremy Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive visitors starting at 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Survivors include her two daughters, Shelia Walker (Danny) of South Fulton, TN and Sharon Davidson of Martin, TN; four sons, Hubert Vernon Alexander, Jr. (Virginia) of Union City, TN, Milton Wayne Alexander of Munford, TN, David Alexander (Sherry) and Mark Alexander, all of Dyersburg, TN; twenty-two grandchildren; and over forty great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Vernon Alexander, Sr.

Pallbearers will be Seth Alexander, Chris Walker, Corey Walker, Tim Davidson, Brent Davidson, Shane Alexander and Andy Alexander.

Memorials may be directed to a charity of the donor's choice.
