Harvey Dewitt Parnell's Obituary
Harvey DeWitt Parnell, 76, of Lebanon, Tenn., formerly of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at VA Medical Center in Nashville.
He was a retired employee of Colonial Rubber, a Navy veteran of the Korean War, and an avid hunter and fisherman.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Fairview Cemetery with John Huse Robinson officiating.
The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. today at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include two daughters, Melanie Swims of Olive Branch, Miss., and Holly Lanius of Lebanon, Tenn.; two sisters, Mary Hudson of Ridgely and Ann Rankin of Chicago; a brother, Gerald Parnell of Hornbeak; and five grandchildren, Megan Lanius, Olivia Lanius, Joshua Lanius, Barret Swims and Alexander Swims.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Porter and Myrtle Parnell.
