Harry L. Smith, 71, of Dyersburg, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at his residence.
He was a retired employee for Sylvania, Republic Builders and Burks Beverage. He was a graduate from Friendship High School. Harry loved his family, lawn mowing and fishing. He also loved country music and NASCAR.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Clyde Thompson, Jr. and the Rev. Larry Koonce officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Tuesday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly Smith of Dyersburg; two daughters, Angie Spain and husband, Benny, of Dyersburg and Lisa Morgan and husband, Jerry, of Ripley; a son, Harry L. Smith, Jr. and wife, Jenny, of Dyersburg; a sister, Janie Westmoreland and husband, Eris, of Homosassa Springs, FL; a brother, Roy Smith and wife, Patty, of Trimble; four grandchildren, Chelsey McDaniel, Allyson Spain, Lauren Rushing and Alec Smith; and one great-granddaughter, Sophie McDaniel.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie V. Smith; and his mother and step-father, Pearl Wilson and Aubrey Perkins.
Pallbearers will be Tim Koonce, Robert Riggs, Ronnie Koonce, Lee McDaniel, James Hutson and Jim Davis. Honorary pallbearer will be Chris Thurmond.
