Harriette Sue Sawyer, 73, of Dyersburg, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

She was a licensed practical nurse at Dyersburg Manor for 15 years and was an employee of the Women's Clinic of Dyersburg for 30 years. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Scott Sewell officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Saturday at Dyersburg Funeral Home and from 1-2 p.m. Sunday at the church.

Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Sawyer Ware of Dyersburg; a son, Danny Ray Sawyer and companion, Alecia Gibbons, of Dyersburg; two sisters, Judy Walker of Newbern and Deborah Roddy of Lane; a brother, Benny Hendren of Newbern; four grandchildren, Lindsey Ford, Whitney Hill, McKenzie Ware and Courtney Gibbons, all of Dyersburg; and four great-grandchildren, Hudson Ford, Chandler Ford, Parker Daniels and Hadleigh Daniels.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry W. and Eula Harness Hendren; and a brother, Teddy Hendren.

Pallbearers will be Chip Warren, Kirk Krueger, Chuck Erickson, Larry Allen, Tim Ware and Willie Ho.

The family requests that memorials be directed to Seventh Day Adventist Church of Dyersburg or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
