Harold Thurmond Perciful, 76, of Jackson, died Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was a retired employee for the supply department at the Army Depot in Anniston, AL., were he worked for 20 years, a member of Englewood Baptist Church in Jackson, a retired veteran of the U.S. Air Force, where he served for 23 1/2 years, a Mason of the 32nd Degree, a member of Anniston, AL. Fraternal Lodge # 700, a member of the Jackson Photo Club and a Honorary Park Ranger at Fort Donelson Park.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Brent Lay and Mr. Jack Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his daughter, Linda G. Hill of Newton, KS.; a son, Harold T. Perciful, Jr. of Dallas, TX.; a brother, Billy R. Perciful of Dyersburg; two grandchildren, Daniel Hill of Newton, KS. and Emily Maker of Austin, TX.; and a great-grandchild, Allison Maker of Austin, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Henry and Lois Thurmond Perciful; a sister, Maxie Reeves; and a brother, James Perciful.
Pallbearers will be Charles Dean, Brian Heathcott, Matt Willis, Ronnie Gill, Tommy Anderson and Daniel Hill. Honorary pallbearers will be Bud Wallace and Jimmy McGurre.
