Harold E. "Buck" Bishop, 87, of Finley, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

He was a retired heavy equipment operator for the State Highway Department, where he worked for 31 years, attended Three Oaks Baptist Church and was an avid gardener, hunter and horseman.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Phipps officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Survivors include his three daughters, Rose White and husband, Tom, and Cindy Barham, all of Finley and Jan Woody and husband, Mike, of Dyersburg; two sons, Bill Bishop of Finley and Jamie Bishop and wife, Sonda, of Dyersburg; eleven grandchildren, Tommy White, Michelle White Newton, Amy Junior, Kim Bishop, Shannon White Cook, Jeremy Bishop, Billy Bishop, Jr., Justin Bishop, Brandon Barham, Bradley Woody and Ashlee Bishop; fourteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Bishop; his parents, Homer and Lillie Bell Bishop; a sister, Mildred Anderson; and a brother, Clifford Bishop.

Pallbearers will be Stacy Pruitt, Phillip Heathcott, Jeff Jones, Brian Cook, Derrick Canada and Joseph Maxwell.
