Gwendolyn Barnett Burrus' Obituary
Gwendolyn Barnett Burrus, 93, of Union City, formerly of Tiptonville, died Sunday, September 18, 2011 at Golden Living Center in Union City.
She was retired from Reelfoot Lake State Park, member of Tiptonville Church of Christ, member of Eastern Star and a member of Wynnburg Women's Club.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Tiptonville Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Mr. Don Reel officiating. Burial will be in Crocketts Chapel Cemetery in Tiptonville.
The family will receive visitors from 2-4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Barker of Union City; a son, Tim Burrus and wife, Jo, of Camden; a brother, Joe Barnett of Paducah, KY.; a daughter-in-law, Andrelle Burrus; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Burrus; a son, Mike Burrus; her parents, Ewing and Ora Lee Henson Barnett; and a brother, Taylor Barnett.
Pallbearers will be Michael Burrus, Blake Burrus, Will Buruss, Jay Warren, Jack Haynes, Jr. and Jackie Beeler.
The family requests that memorials be directed to Crocketts Chapel Cemetery Fund.
