Mrs. Gwendolyn London Leonard, of Dyersburg, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2025 at her home.  Gwen was born March 11, 1951 to the late Adrian and Mary Sue London.  She retired from a career with the Tennessee Career Center and later loved working at Three Oaks Middle School as an educational assistant for Dyer County Schools.  She was a devoted mother and grandmother, always following and supporting her families' activities.  She was glad to be a part of the Finley Methodist Church family.  In her free time, she enjoyed sewing and gardening and was a devoted fan of the music and movies of Elvis Presley.

Gwen is survived by her son, Jason Leonard (Mandy), of Dyersburg and daughter Emily Hollingsworth (Derek) of Finley and a sister Patricia Fesmire (Wilson) of Dyer and was "Aunt Gwen" to her nieces Keri Swims (Bruce) and Abigail Swims.   She was greatly loved as "Nanny" by her five grandchildren; Will & Katie Leonard and Clay, Huck & Lottie Hollingsworth.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Leonard, her sister Rejina Ann London, her parents and her nephews Shannon & Spence Jackson.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 1:00 p.m.  Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. and interment will follow in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.  Pallbearers will be Brian Hatch, Jay Cryer, Bob Eubanks, Kevin Cook, Tim Gibson and Devon Greyson.  Honorary pallbearers will be Kenny Manning and Bill Walton.

The family request that memorials, in lieu of flowers, be directed to the work of the Dyer County Community Cancer Fund or to the Dyersburg Humane Society.
