Guy Maddox, 90, of Ridgely, died Friday, April 18, 2008 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was retired from the Lake County Highway Department, a member of Wynnburg Baptist Church, and an Army veteran of World War II.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Ridgely Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Ralph Buckley officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna Copley of Memphis; three stepdaughters, Finetta Howard of Murfreesboro, Gail Connor of Tiptonville, and Margie Gooch of Union City; a son, Donnie R. Maddox of Dyersburg; four stepsons, Jimmy Sherrill of Dawson Springs, Ky., Leon Sherrill and Dale Sherrill, both of Tiptonville, and Jerry Sherrill of Union City; a sister, Sue Fisher of Ridgely; a brother, Buddie Maddox of Ridgely; four grandchildren, Valerie Smith of Little Rock, Ark., Allison Copley of Memphis, Katie Copley of Memphis and Stacey Reynolds of Obion; five great-grandchildren, several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Jewell Laverne Fisher Maddox and Lillie Sherrill Maddox; a daughter, Linda Davis Small; and his parents, Basil Ray and Sallye Kate Dillard Maddox.
