Gloria Dene Gunter, 81, of Halls, TN passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at her residence.

She was the daughter of Stephen Andrew and Lalie Elizabeth Holladay. She was married to Alvin Ralph Gunter for 59 years. She was a co-worker and supporter of her husband in his 49-year ministry and loved life and loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Born to this union was a son, Stephen Ray Gunter who precedes her in death; and a daughter, Debra Kay Curran. She was a member of the Finley United Methodist Church.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 28, 2019 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Cavitt and Bro. Brent Pierce officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive visitors from 5-9 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

She is survived by her husband, Alvin Ralph Gunter; her daughter, Debra Kay Curran; three grandchildren, Justin Wade Brock (Megan) of Dyersburg, Austin Andrew Gunter of Seymour, and Elizabeth M. Otasowie (Cody); three great-grandchildren, Liza Kate Brock, Ellen Elizabeth Brock and Karoline Elizabeth Otasowie; two sisters, Ruth Helen Brinkley of McKenzie and Helen Wren (Billy) of Greenfield; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Wren, Douglas Wren, Johnny Dale Wren, Tommy Wayne Gunter, Michael Foster and Lynn Brinkley.
