Gloria Dean Holmes Burkhead, 72, passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Tennova Healthcare Dyersburg Regional.

She was born on December 14, 1945 to the late Lee Allen Holmes and the late Willodean Tull Holmes. She was a homemaker and a member of South Fork Baptist Church.

Services will be at 1 P.M. Wednesday, April 25, 2018 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Isbell officiating. Burial will be in South Fork Cemetery in Chestnut Bluff.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her brother, Vernon Holmes and wife Marilyn, of Dyersburg; a sister, Sheila Ann Holmes of Dyersburg; a niece, LeAnn Kunce and husband Jim of Weston, MO; two nephews, Thomas Holmes and wife Chantella of Florissant, MO, and Chad Stephens and wife Lisa of Finley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Burkhead and her son, Stephen Burkhead.

Pallbearers will be Keith Burkhead, Jerry Daniel, Josh Hicks, Mike Henson, Len Holmes, and Ricky Kent.
