Gleyn Thomas Twilla, II, 53, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023 at The Bay at Dyersburg.

He was born on December 16, 1969, in Dyersburg, TN, to Gleyn Thomas Twilla and the late Beverly Viar Taylor. Gleyn was a property manager for L G Property Management, LLC. He never saw a hungry dog, cat or human that he didn't try to help. His kindness left many better for it. Gleyn was an alumnus of ASU. He struggled with a chronic mental illness for 37 years. He proved that the soul can triumph over the ills of the body. Gleyn loved to cook for people and he cooked every week for a number of years at the Salvation Army.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Ronnie Turner officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his father, Gleyn Thomas Twilla of Dyersburg, TN; his step-mother, Patricia Twilla of Dyersburg, TN; five aunts; one uncle; and numerous cousins.

In addition to his mother, Gleyn was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Stoye and Martha Viar; his paternal grandparents, Clifford and Bettie Twilla; and his step-grandmother, Macree Twilla.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Eison, Aaron Eison, Billy Pope, Tony Daniels, Shawn Todd and Andy Baker. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Twilla, Mike Ray, Tony Togni and Kevin Joslin.

Memorials may be directed to the Salvation Army, 318 West Market Street, Dyersburg, TN 38024.
