Glenn O. Franks, Jr., age 76, of Dyersburg, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2011 in Nashville, TN.

He was a member of Dyersburg First United Methodist Church and a retired banker. He was in the Army National Guard, a past member of the noon Dyersburg Rotary Club and an avid bass fisherman and tennis fan.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Dr. David Russell officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Carol Smallwood Franks; a daughter, Dr. Glenda Joiner-Rogers (Mike) of Georgetown, TX; a son, Henry Clark Franks (Betsy) and daughter Anna Christina Franks of Memphis; Ashleigh C. Curtis (Jr.) of Dyersburg, and Allison Paige Franks of Murfreesboro. His grandchildren are Brittany Franks and Alexandra Franks of Memphis; Cameron Joiner, Hudson Joiner and Brandon Rogers of Georgetown, TX; Ashton Curtis and Jace Curtis of Dyersburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn O. and Bernice Adams Franks.

Pallbearers will be Parker Cashdollar, Mike Rogers, Mark Groseclose, Mike Myers, Jr. Curtis and Steve Stafford.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dyersburg First United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
