Mrs. Glenda Fay Thomas, of Dyersburg, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2026 at Okeena Nursing and Rehabilitation.

She was born October 26, 1945 to the late Joe and Willie Dee Autry. Glenda was a long-time retail associate with Walmart. She is remembered as dedicated and hard-working, but she also enjoyed the slower pace of life in retirement. She was a lover of animals, especially her two cats, Luke and Sam. She was a member of Springhill Baptist Church where worship and fellowship meant much to her. Family activities were always important to her.

Glenda is survived by her brother, Wayne Autry and wife, Jean; her sister, Connie Ann Kee and husband, Tommy; her nephew, Kyle Autry and wife Amy; nieces, Donna Batt, Shelley Sides, Tracey Smith, Ashley Kennedy; and a host of great-nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father, Joe Autry; her mother, Willie Dee Ozment Autry; her husband, David Thomas; her sisters, Frances Clift and Betty Jo Carmack; and a niece, Sandra Hubble.

Visitation will be held at Dyersburg Funeral Home on Saturday March 14, 2026 beginning at 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 2:30 p.m. conducted by Pastor David Powell. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brad Smith, Kyle Autry, Tommy Kee, Milton Weatherford, Michael Autry and Larry Autry.

To honor two of Glenda's loves, memorials should be directed to support the Ministries of Springhill Baptist Church or the work of Paws To Care Animal Rescue.
