Glen Thompson, 61, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Monday, November 8, 2021 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Glen was born on March 11, 1960, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late, Eldon and Shirley Fowler Thompson. He was the owner and operator of Glen Thompson Landscaping and was a former employee of Dyersburg Fabrics, where he worked for 25 years. As an avid outdoorsman, Glen enjoyed squirrel hunting, fishing, gardening and horses. Glen was a member of Finley United Pentecostal Church.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 13, 2021 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Ellingsworth and Bro. Ronnie Turner officiating. Burial will be in Bethesda Church Cemetery in Friendship.

The Thompson Family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Friday, November 12, 2021 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Thompson of Dyersburg, TN; a daughter, Destiny Shelton and husband, Jeremy, of Louisville, KY; a brother, Mark Thompson and wife, Angie, of Dyersburg, TN; two sisters, Linda Powers and Lori Chapman, both of Dyersburg, TN; a sister-in-law, Pam Thompson of Dyersburg, TN; six grandchildren, Titus Shelton, Augustus Shelton, Jonas Shelton, Cypress Shelton, Silas Shelton and Amos Shelton; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members.

In addition to his parents, Glen was preceded in death by a brother, Max Thompson; and a sister, Sherry Thompson.

Honoring Mr. Glen as pallbearers will be Bruce Thompson, Tyler Thompson, Jonathon Thompson, Clay Richardson, Jon Richardson and Dallas Richardson.
