Gladys Marie Booker's Obituary
Gladys Marie Booker, 89, of Dyersburg, died Monday, August 29, 2011 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
She was a retired stocker for Family Dollar Store and a member of The Gathering Place.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Hirchie Schaffner and Mr. Stanley Booker officiating. Burial will be in Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Friendship.
The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her three daughters, Lillie Runions and Shirley Joyner, both of Dyersburg and Patsy Austin of Dyer; three sons, Charles Booker and Stanley Booker, both of Newbern and Danny Booker of Mason Hall; two sisters, Birdie Mae Sayles of Arlington and Maxine Chilcutt of Brownsville; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; and nineteen great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lofton Booker; three sons, Ricky Booker, Larry Booker and Jody Booker; and her parents, John and Bertha Smith Vernon.
Pallbearers will be Jake Booker, Mark Joyner, James Booker, Paul Booker, Donald Runions, Lofton Booker, Jody Lyn Booker, Christopher Booker and Jody Booker.
